Switching from Wristory: How to Move Your Watch Wear Log to WristTime

Chrono24 recently retired Wristory, its wear-tracking feature. Chrono24 Watch Collection, for cataloging and valuation, is still live. A saved Wristory export can be reshaped into a CSV and imported into WristTime. There is no dedicated Wristory importer. Without the file, you start fresh.

Wristory was the wear log in Chrono24's app. Chrono24 Watch Collection is a different feature, and it is still live for cataloging and valuation. We are not quoting a shutdown date. No official date is confirmed, so the accurate line is that Wristory was recently retired.

If you want a Wristory alternative for that wear log on iPhone, the steps below move a saved file into WristTime. Best watch wear tracker apps compares the other loggers if you are still choosing. If you are choosing a watch collection tracker app, that page separates a catalog from a wear log.

What does a Wristory export include?

If you saved an export before the feature went away, the file is an .xlsx. Chrono24 has not published an official spec, so this is what the export typically includes:

  • Date worn
  • Occasion
  • Watch, with brand and model in one field
  • Link
  • Created (UTC)

A Wristory row does not include a time of day.

How do I move a Wristory wear log into WristTime?

WristTime has no dedicated Wristory importer. Reshape the spreadsheet into this CSV, then import that file once.

date,watch_name,watch_brand,time_of_day
2026-03-10,Submariner,Rolex,All Day
2026-03-12,Speedmaster,Omega,

The last row leaves time_of_day empty on purpose. The column still has to be there.

  1. Open your saved Wristory .xlsx in Numbers, Excel, or Google Sheets.
  2. Use those four headers, spelled exactly. Split Wristory's Watch field into watch_brand and watch_name, typed the way that watch already appears in WristTime. Case and extra spaces do not matter. A match attaches the log to that watch. If it does not match, WristTime creates a new watch.
  3. Format every date as yyyy-MM-dd before you export. Any other format is skipped, with no warning.
  4. Leave time_of_day blank, or set it to All Day. Wristory rows have no time of day.
  5. Export as CSV.
  6. In WristTime, open the Collection tab, then the ••• menu, then Settings > Your Data > Import Data. Review Import shows the counts and a Duplicates choice. Skip Duplicates is the default. Tap Import, then Done.

Import the file only once. Importing the same file again adds those logs a second time. There is no merge, so if a duplicate watch shows up, delete it manually.

What if I did not save a Wristory export?

You will be starting fresh. If the feature is already gone and you never saved the .xlsx, there is no wear history to move. Chrono24 Watch Collection is still live for cataloging and valuation. That is a different job from the wear log Wristory was.

New Year is a natural time to start. Start tracking your watch rotation on January 1 is the clean version of that: add the watches you own, log each wear, and give the year a start date you can rank later.

Is WristTime a Chrono24 Wristory replacement?

For the wear log, yes. WristTime is a free iPhone app. It logs which watch you wore, and it shows most-worn and least-worn stats. There is no account, no ads, and no cloud. You can export the log as CSV or JSON whenever you want your own copy.

It is not a stand-in for Chrono24 Watch Collection. That cataloging and valuation tool is still live. Use WristTime when the job is the wear log: which pieces left the box, on your iPhone.

Bottom line

If you saved a Wristory export, turn it into the CSV above, with dates as yyyy-MM-dd and time_of_day blank or All Day. Import it once from the Collection tab: ••• menu, Settings > Your Data > Import Data. If you did not save the file, start fresh. New Year is a natural first day.

Best watch wear tracker apps keeps this path next to the other loggers.

FAQ

Is there a Wristory alternative for tracking which watch I wear?
WristTime is a free iPhone app for that wear log. You record which watch you wore, and you can see most-worn and least-worn stats. There is no account, no ads, and no cloud, and you can export CSV or JSON. Chrono24 Watch Collection is still live for cataloging and valuation.
What does a Wristory export include?
A Wristory export is reported to be an .xlsx. The export typically includes Date worn, Occasion, Watch (brand and model in one field), Link, and Created (UTC). No official Chrono24 spec has been published, so treat that as the usual file, not a guaranteed format.
How do I import a Wristory export into WristTime?
There is no dedicated Wristory importer. Open the .xlsx and build a CSV with the headers date, watch_name, watch_brand, and time_of_day. Format dates as yyyy-MM-dd, or those rows are skipped. Split the Watch field into watch_brand and watch_name, matching the watch already in WristTime, or a new watch is created. Leave time_of_day blank or set it to All Day. Then open the Collection tab, the ••• menu, and Settings > Your Data > Import Data. Review Import shows the counts. Skip Duplicates is the default. Tap Import, then Done. Import the file only once. A second import adds the logs again, and a duplicate watch has to be deleted manually. There is no merge.
What if I did not save my Wristory export?
You will be starting fresh. Chrono24 recently retired Wristory, and without the file there is no wear history to move. New Year is a natural time to start a new log.
Does WristTime replace Chrono24 Watch Collection?
No. WristTime is a wear log: which watch you wore. Chrono24 Watch Collection is still live for cataloging and valuation. WristTime is a Chrono24 Wristory replacement for the wear-tracking feature, not for the collection catalog.
